Did you, too, enjoy a bit of rocking and hygge at SMT’s booth in the Business Forum section of the Matka 2017 travel fair?
Did you know that our booth was built by SMT’s own events team together with our partners? You can also utilise our experience and network and turn event organisation and booth building into a hygge experience.
The cooperation with the client – in this case, SMT marketing – starts months before the fair. - We can help the client in developing ideas and scheduling the work, act as a contact person for other actors and supervise the realisation of the budget, explains
- Do you require a wired Internet connection, high current power supply or a regular wall socket for your booth? These should be ordered in good time, since they may be more expensive when ordered at the last minute, says Raija – speaking from experience. - And you should also test their operation before the doors open in order to avoid surprises.
You can set the mood for your booth with many small things. The pier-like structure on SMT’s booth was built by a professional carpenter. - Once it was in place, we thought that it would be nice if our hashtag #SMTfriends were included in the wooden structure. And, what do you know, the next time I arrived at the booth, I saw SMTfriends in the top beam, Raija says with a smile.
Nearly anything is possible when you have a good partner. For example, the rocking chairs used at SMT’s booth were collected from all over Finland. Click here to read the story about how the rocking chairs were acquired. Some of the rocking chairs will be permanently placed on SMT’s own premises to provide a bit of hygge for our working days, while others will be returned to their owners.
Using a partner who is specialised in constructing fairs and arranging events will save the company’s time and efforts, allowing them to focus on their core competences. When the practical matters are handled in the background, the client can focus on charming and inspiring guests at their booth.
- For example, you were allowed to carry out the construction for the travel fair on Tuesday between 16:00 and 22:00, on Wednesday between 18:00 and 22:00 and on Thursday morning, before the fair opened, from 7:00 to 9:00. - Does your organisation have the people to supervise the construction and run errands at these hours, or do your employees prefer to focus on customer encounters and sales?
Unique solutions and an attractive appearance bring visitors to and generate interest in your booth. That is why they are worth investing in and releasing your own staff to focus on your core business. The old wisdom is still true: "If your booth has no visitors, no one dares to be the first. If your booth is full, it attires even more guests."
