Does your company also end up arranging events at the last minute? Christmas parties come to mind in October, customer events are held wherever there is room and personnel events are arranged on the company’s premises, since everywhere else is full. And why not – there’s usually some corner you can find at the last minute.
Nevertheless, should you stop and think about this every now and then? Is this the time to renew yourself and your events? You do not necessarily even need more money.
You see, early birds have the best selection of worms... I mean facilities, terms and prices. Those who come last get what is left. Are you happy with serving leftovers to your customers and personnel?
The best locations and ideas for events are sold approximately half a year earlier – for larger crowds, even before that. Therefore, if you are planning a Christmas party for the peak weekends of 25 November and 2 December, demand is already high and most places are taken.
And this is not simply about selection. The prices and terms of cancellation are usually better for early bookers. As the season approaches, the prices rise and terms become stricter, and this will incur additional – and even invisible – costs on companies that do not make the comparisons on time.
So put on your Christmas hat and read on. This issue of SMTtrends specialises on events and gives you more examples of how to build memorable events together with SMT’s specialists.
